Back to School

During the first week of school we started off with some interactive pritmaking: throwing ushy gooshy squishy balls dipped in paint at a giant piece of paper, and it was GREAT!

We then read "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds. The story of Vashti, the art student who thinks she cannot draw. One of my favorite stories of all time!! We all created our own dots and put them on display for our open house.

Next on tap is a k-5 unit on self-portraits. More to come on this next week on those projects. Colors of summer photo contest winners TBA next week :)
